SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State women's soccer team (2-5-2, 0-2-1 MVC) will host the Indiana State Sycamores on Sunday at 1 p.m. inside Allison South Stadium.  
  
Match Details 

• Sunday's match will kick off at 1 p.m. 
• The match will be played at Allison South Stadium in Springfield, Mo. 
• The match will not be televised. 
• Live Stats will be available. 
• MSU will be honoring its six seniors, Emma Skornia, Lexi Palacio, Bryn McQuaid, Kaitlin Maxwell, Jordan Eickelman and Tarah Phongsavath.

Quick Kicks 

• MSU is 2-5-2 on the 2020-21 season. 
• Last time out, the Bears offense broke out as they defeated Missouri Southern 3-1. Abby Couch, Kate Schroeder and Maddie Augustine all scored goals to contribute towards the win. 
• Three goalkeepers saw action for MSU.  Katie Montgomery started the match and recorded two saves in 45 minutes of action. Camielle Day then relieved Montgomery, making two saves and allowing one goal in 22 minutes of action. While Hannah Peterson finished the match having no opportunities in the final 22 minutes of play. 
• The Bears are just one of 124 teams nationally who have taken a penalty kick this season. 
• MSU ranks third in The Valley in corner kicks per game with 40 through nine contests. 
• MSU has played three double-overtime games this year and are 0-1-2 when going into extra time. 
• Montgomery played an integral role in the Bears 0-0 double-overtime tie with Loyola (Feb. 28) as she recorded eight saves in eight opportunities. The performance was her first career shutout. As a result of her efforts Montgomery was named MVC player of the week on March 2.  
• Montgomery currently ranks 71st nationally and third in the MVC in saves per game at 4.83. 
• Abby Couch, Kate Schroeder, Maggie Augustine, Dragana Andonovski, Ingrid Perkins, Kennady Orlick, and Isabel Burke, all lead the team in goals at one apiece. 
• The Bears were the only team in the Missouri Valley Conference to play matches this fall. 
• Due to injuries, the Bears have started three different goalkeepers this season while all four goalkeepers have seen action. 
• Of MSU's 28 players, 16 are freshmen or sophomores, making them one of the youngest teams in The Valley. 
• Missouri State is in its 25th season of women's soccer with a 218-198-56 (.520) all-time record. Rob Brewer is the only head coach in the program's history and has guided the Bears to two NCAA Tournament appearances (2000, 2017). 

 
Know the Foe 

• Indiana State is 3-3 on the season with a 3-2 MVC record. 
• The Sycamores are coming off a 5-1 loss to Loyola back on March 24. 
• Midfielder Cece Wahlberg leads the Sycamore attack with two goals and four points on the season. 
• Goalkeeper Maddie Alexander has been solid this season collecting 28 saves while allowing five goals in 450 minutes of play. 
• ISU is led by coach Julie Hanley, who is in her fourth season at the helm and has an overall record of 25-44-8. 

 
 Series History 

• Missouri State leads the all-time series, 13-5-2. 
• In the last matchup back on October 31, 2019, MSU won 2-1 with Anna Durnin and Jordan Eickelman scoring goals 
• The Bears have not lost to the Sycamores since October of 2013 as they hold a 5-0-1 record against ISU during that span.
