GREENWOOD, Ind. – Five Missouri State women's soccer student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

Kayla Smith,
Reilly Heman,
Jane Hansen and
Riley Smith represent the Bears on this year's list after meeting the CSC criteria, which requires nominees to compete in at least 90 percent of their team's matches or start two-thirds of contests, hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, and be at least a sophomore in both academic and athletic standing.
Becker, a Nursing major with a 3.92 GPA, anchored Missouri State's defensive unit across 20 starts this season. She posted a 1.49 goals-against average with 70 saves and five shutouts, earning CUSA Goalkeeper of the Week honors and a spot on the CUSA Championship All-Tournament Team. Becker finished the year with a 7-9-4 record in goal.
Kayla Smith has a 3.76 GPA in Marketing and played in all 20 matches. A reliable force on the back line, Smith brought composure, anticipation and physicality to the back line. Her consistency and high work rate were essential to the group's defensive success.
Heman carries a perfect 4.00 GPA as an Accounting major and led Missouri State in total points (13) with five goals and three assists. She appeared in all 20 matches, generating a team-best 39 shot attempts and serving as a consistent attacking presence. Heman produced three multi-point matches, delivering significant moments in both non-conference and CUSA competition.
Hansen holds a 3.90 GPA in General Business and appeared in all 20 matches while contributing defensively and in the midfield. She added an assist on the season and was instrumental in Missouri State's late-season surge, culminating in her selection to the CUSA Championship All-Tournament Team.
Riley Smith, a Middle School Education major with a 3.59 GPA, also appeared in all 20 matches for the Bears. Smith added one assist and supplied consistent width and coverage on both sides of the ball. Her versatility helped Missouri State remain consistent regardless of opponents' formation or match flow.
