May 19, 2026 | Women's Soccer
SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State women's soccer continues to build its roster for the 2026 campaign, as head coach Kirk Nelson announced the addition of two transfers to the Bears' program.
Arriving in Springfield are:
Kyra Berman • F • 5-8 • Overland Park, Kan. • Illinois / Blue Valley West HS (Sporting Blue Valley)
Logan Morrow • D • 5-7 • Bixby, Okla. • Oklahoma / Bixby HS (Tulsa Soccer Club)
Kyra Berman
Berman joins Missouri State after spending her freshman season at the University of Illinois, where she appeared in 21 matches for the Fighting Illini in 2025. The 5-8 forward logged 488 minutes during her first collegiate campaign and made her debut on Aug. 14 in a 1-0 road win against UIC.
The Overland Park, Kan., native recorded her first career point with an assist against DePaul on Aug. 28. She also fired six shots on the season, placing four on goal for a .667 shot-on-goal percentage.
Before beginning her collegiate career, Berman was a four-year letterwinner at Blue Valley West High School, where she helped lead the Jaguars to a pair of Kansas Class 6A state championships. As a senior in 2024, she tallied 17 goals and 11 assists while guiding Blue Valley West to the state title. She also helped the program capture a state championship in 2022 after recording 10 goals and 11 assists that season.
Berman earned all-conference honors three times during her prep career and was a first-team all-state selection. At the club level, she spent 12 years with Sporting Blue Valley and was a member of the ODP state and regional teams. She was also a three-time Top Drawer Soccer Club Soccer Standouts selection.
Head Coach Kirk Nelson on Berman:
"Kyra brings a ton of game experience from the Big Ten Conference. She is a dangerous forward that can play both central and wide. Kyra threatens opposing back lines both on and off the ball and will create goal scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates. She also prides herself in defending and causing turnovers higher up the field. We are extremely excited to welcome Kyra to our Bear's Family this fall."
Logan Morrow
Morrow arrives at Missouri State after beginning her collegiate career at Oklahoma, where she spent her freshman season with the Sooners in 2025. A 5-7 defender from Bixby, Okla., she brings a strong defensive background and leadership experience to the Bears' back line.
Morrow was a standout at Bixby High School, where she was a three-time Oklahoma All-District selection and three-time academic all-conference honoree. She helped Bixby reach the Oklahoma Class 6A quarterfinals in 2022 and 2023 and served as a team captain during the 2024-25 season.
At the club level, Morrow played for Tulsa Soccer Club and competed in the ECNL for two years. She helped lead Tulsa Soccer Club to the 2024 ECNL National Playoffs in Seattle.
Away from the field, Morrow was highly involved throughout high school, participating in National Honor Society, Student Council, the Bixby Athletic Advisory Council and the Bixby Soccer Leadership Council. She also volunteered with the Bixby Outreach Center.
Head Coach Kirk Nelson on Morrow:
"Logan comes from a strong university program in the SEC. She is a tenacious back that can play anywhere along the backline. She is extremely athletic with quick feet and change of direction, which makes her a strong 1v1 defender. Logan has high game understanding and can intercept entry passes and disrupt opponents' attacking play quickly. She also has the ability to get forward and be an asset to the attack in the higher thirds of the field. We can't wait to get Logan here on campus representing the Maroon and White."
