Missouri State men's golf coach Neal Stafford has announced the signing of Eric Schuessler of Stillwater, Okla. to a National Letter of Intent to join the Bears for the 2020-21 season. 

Schuessler is ranked sixth in Oklahoma in his class by National Junior Golf Scoreboard after a strong and consistent 2019 season in which he posted four top-10 finishes in American Junior Golf Association and Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour events. He placed 12th at the Oklahoma Junior Championship and took third in the OJGT South Lakes Shootout, fourth in the Best of the West Classic, sixth at the Oklahoma-Texas Red River Challenge and ninth at the AJGA Tulsa Junior. 

"I am very excited to have Eric join our program next fall," said Stafford. "He is a great competitor and I have been very impressed with his work ethic and determination to get better every day. He has gone up against some of the best juniors and amateurs in the country coming from Oklahoma and knows what it is going to take to be successful at the collegiate level. I expect Eric to come and contribute at a high level right away!"

The Bears are scheduled to open the season Sept. 13-15 at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate in Hattiesburg, Miss.
