Keeping Track of the Bears
  • Head coach Jordan Fife begins his first indoor season at the helm for Missouri State after serving as the interim coach last year which followed a five-year stint as an assistant.  This is his sixth season at MSU after being named the head cross country coach in 2014.
  • The Bears' roster features a collection of fresh faces with 25 newcomers joining the squad to go along with the 16 returners that finished sixth at the MVC Indoor Championships last season.
  • MSU heads to the Arkansas Invitational for the second straight year where they will send three Bears who competed in last season's meet.  Grace Breiten and Jordyn Capra each earned top-15 finishes in the mile with Breiten posting a 5:06.76 time (10th), followed by Capra at 5:21.37 (14th).  Edna Dar recorded the program's second-fastest 1,000-meter time with a 2:58.34 to finish eighth in the event.
  • The Bears had a strong showing at the Arkansas Invitational last season with nine top-10 finishes, including an individual title in the long jump.
  • Missouri State was picked fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference coaches' preseason poll.
