SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Missouri State women's soccer team returns to Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium for the first time in 2019, hosting Kansas City in the Bears' home opener Friday night.

The homestand is short lived as MSU hits the road once again, traveling to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville on Sept. 8 for a Sunday afternoon showdown.

Missouri State Quick Kicks:
- MSU produced a perfect 2-0 weekend mark, collecting road wins against Central Arkansas and Little Rock.
- The Bears combined for five goals over the two-game stretch, seeing contributions from Brooke Zenner, Unnur Bergsdottir, Brittney Robinson, Anna Durnin, and Jordan Eickelman.
- A 3-2 Bears' win at Central Arkansas snapped a 10-game home win streak for the opposing side that extended throughout the 2018 campaign.
- Senior defender Brittney Robinson scored the game-winner in the 79th minute to break the 2-2 deadlock and secure the Bears' first victory of the 2019 campaign.
- Six different players have found the back of the net for the Bears, combining for six goals over the past three matches.

Scouting the Roos:
- Kansas City stands undefeated this season at 4-0, its best start in program history.
- Sophomore All-American product Ryan Childers earned WAC Offensive Player of the Week honors on Sept. 2 after tallying three goals against Western Illinois and Eastern Illinois.
- The Roos produced two shutouts to begin the 2019 campaign, marking 12 shutouts in the past 25 matches dating back to last season.

Scouting the Cougars:
- SIUE stands at an even 1-1-1 through its opening three games, including a 4-0 shutout win against Missouri Valley Conference member Indiana State.
- Forward MacKenzie Litzsinger garnered Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors on Sept. 3 after producing a two-goal effort at Indiana State. She leads the Cougars in goals (3) and points (6).

- MSU holds the 7-2-1 series edge against the Roos dating back to 2009.
- In their last meeting, MSU capitalized on a pair of first-period goals from Emma Skornia and Kennady Orlick to earn the 2-1 road victory at Kansas City on Sept. 2, 2018.

- The Bears head into Sunday's match with the 6-2-2 series lead, boosted by a four-win stretch spanning from 2008-2011.
- Both squads resume their annual meeting after inclement weather canceled the 2018 meeting.
- In 2017, MSU scored five goals to run away with the 5-1 road victory against the Cougars.
