Day Two Results
TULSA, Okla. – The Missouri State track and field team was paced by the distance squad during the final day of the ORU Invitational, at the Oneok Sports Complex in Tulsa, Okla. The Bears finished the meet in second place with 96 points.
Grace Breiten and
Erica Wollmering captured the top two spots in the 5,000-meter run. Breiten took the title with a personal best 17:46.68 race, while Wollmering earned the runner up with a 17:49.95 PR.
Madeline Saville earned the championship in the 1,500-meter run with a personal record 4:46.21.
Kayla Fallis also earned third in the race with a 4:47.03 time.
In the sprint evets
Taryn Smiley led the way with two second place finishes in the 100-meter (12.04) and 200-meter dash (24.89).
Competing in the triple jump,
Jamilah James took second place on a 12.21 triple jump mark.
Missouri State will continue the outdoor season at the Mizzou Spring Open next weekend (April 5-6) in Columbia, Mo.
