Missouri State Quick Kicks:
  • Loyola goals in the opening minutes of the first and second halves proved too much for the Bears, suffering a 2-0 loss in a battle for the top league ranking.
  • The Bears hold the runner-up spot in the MVC standings with a 2-1 mark. Illinois State and Loyola are tied at the top with unblemished 3-0 conference records.
  • Seven different Bears have recorded multiple goals in 2019, with Jordan Eickelman and Unnur Bergsdottir pacing the team with three apiece.
  • Anna Durnin provided the offensive punch for the Bears against Drake, launching a shot from the top of the key in the 27th minute to top the Bulldogs 1-0.
  • Two unanswered goals in the second completed the Bears' 2-1 comeback bid against Valparaiso, punctuated by Brittney Robinson's game-winning header, in both squads MVC opener. The go-ahead earned the No. 1 spot on NCAA Soccer's top plays of the week.
  • Kaitlin Maxwell has been unmatched in-goal, earning three shutouts in the last six games. The Bears' 0.816 goals against average leads the MVC and ranks in the top 100 nationally. Maxwell sits atop the conference leaderboard in goals against average (0.816), save percentage (0.821), and shutouts (4).
Scouting Evansville:
  • Evansville forced a 0-0 draw in its first Valley road outing against Indiana State, but are currently on a two-game MVC skid, falling to Illinois State and Drake for the 0-2-1 conference mark.
  • The Purple Aces checked the win column once this season, shutting out non-conference opponent Tennessee Tech 2-0.
  • Emily Ormson and Emily Wolak pace Evansville's offense with a team-best two goals each in 2019. The Purple Aces have yet to find the net in conference play.
  • Goalkeeper Michaela Till leads the Valley in saves (68) and saves per game average (5.67). She earned defensive player of the week honors on Sept. 3.
Series History:
  • Evansville owns the 15-9-6 series lead over the Bears.
  • MSU rides a two-game win streak against the Purple Aces, recording a 1-0 shutout in last year's meeting.
