The Missouri State men's golf team continued play at Eisenhower Golf Course for round two of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite. Shooting 292 on the 7,511 yard course, the Bears moved up to 11th place going into day three.
Only four strokes separate the top four Bears' golfers, with
Brad Carpenter pacing the lineup shooting 71-74--145.
Adam Fisher is one stroke behind after also firing 74 in round two. Senior
Jack Knoesel put in the performance of the day, carding 71 to crack the top 50 with 148 over two days.
Kory Franks shot a one-over par 73 for 149 and Chris Obert shot 76 for 154.
In the team standings, Wyoming took advantage of a 280 stroke day to move into first place with a total of 567, Colorado held onto second with 568, followed by New Mexico State (571) in third, Northern Colorado (575), host Air Force (576) sits in fifth. Rounding out the top 10 are UC Davis (578), Weber State and Abilene Christian tied for seventh with 581, Utah State (585), and Utah Valley with 586. Texas State is one stroke behind the Bears with 589 in 12th place, SIU-Edwardsville (594), Southern Utah (595), UNI (599), and Drake (600) close out the 16-team field.
Round three will begin Sunday morning at 8:15 CT.
