Know the Bears

• The Bears are one of 10 undefeated teams in the nation though seven matches, marking the best start for the program since 2012, where the squad went undefeated in eight straight to start the season. MSU also leads the MVC in won-lost-tied percentage and is 11th in the country.
• MSU has scored 15 goals in seven matches this season, matching the goal total from a season ago. Missouri State ranks in the top 15 in the nation in scoring offense with 2.14 goals per game.
• The Bears lead the MVC in points (41), goals (15) and assists (11). The last time MSU led The Valley in goals and total points for a season was 1999.
• Josh Dolling ranks top-five nationally; third in game-winning goals (4), fourth in goals per game (1.14), first in penalty kicks (1.00) and fifth in total goals (8).
• Pacing the Bears offensively Dolling has scored at least one goal in five consecutive matches, including three against Santa Clara.
• The Bears defense also leads the conference in goals-against-average (.786) only giving up six goals through seven matches.
• Michael Creek has been solid in goal holding up two shutouts and recording 20 saves so far in his rookie season.
• The victory over Valpo last Saturday (Sept. 22) added to the program's six game MVC opener win streak, not dropping a conference opener since 2013 and is 15-10-3 all time in the first MVC match of the season.
• In the first edition of the NCAA RPI report for the 2018 season the Bears checked in at No. 68, joining three other MVC schools.
• In the United Soccer Coaches West Region poll the Bears moved up to 4th, while receiving 10 votes in the national poll.

• This season, eight different Aces have recorded a point, led by junior ben Weber's five points.
• In 2018, the Aces are 1-1-1 at home and are looking for another .500 or better at home season.
• The Aces have seen a lot of action this season with 788 total minutes and with five matches going to overtime. 

 
Series History
Evansville Purple Aces
Missouri State holds an 18-10-4 overall record against Evansville. The two squads meet twice in 2017 with the final match occurring in the MVC semi-finals ending in a penalty kick shootout that saw the Bears to the Conference Championship. Last time the two teams faced off at Arad McCutchan Staidum was Oct. 1, 2016 where the Bears picked up the 1-0 victory.
