SPRINGFIELD – Coming off a 3-0 start to the season, including a pair of road wins, the Missouri State women's soccer team returns home for an action packed weekend.
The Bears begin their homestand against Little Rock on Friday, Aug. 24 starting at 7:00 p.m. and will resume action on Sunday, Aug. 26, facing Central Arkansas at 1:00 p.m.

Missouri State Quick Kicks
- Sophomore Jordan Eickelman earned Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring two goals, including the game winner, to help push the Bears past Tulsa, 3-2, in overtime.
- The victory marked the first time Missouri State had defeated the Hurricanes in a decade with its last win coming in 2008. Â
- Newcomer Kennady Orlick came in clutch, scoring another game winner against Southeast Missouri State Tuesday night to propel the Bears to a 1-0 advantage. Her previous deciding goal came in the home opener against Western Illinois, also ending in a 1-0 shutout.
- Goalkeeper Kaitlin Maxwell scooped up a career high nine saves against Tulsa, and her six saves against Southeast Missouri State helped add to her spectacular sophomore campaign.
- Missouri State's 1-0 victory against Southeast Missouri State Tuesday night signaled Head Coach Rob Brewer's 200th win with the Bears. He has been the head coach since the program's inception in 1996 and has collected two MVC Champion titles and NCAA Tournament appearances (2000, 2017), three academic all-Americans, and 20 MVC Championship Appearances.

Scouting Little Rock
- The Little Rock Trojans will still be searching for their first win of the season after starting 0-1-1. Both matches advanced to double overtime, where the Trojans tied Central Arkansas 1-1 and lost to Kentucky 3-2.
- Arola Aparicio Gili has scored a goal in each of the Trojans' contests, needing only two shots for a perfect shot on goal percentage.
- Goalkeeper Sara Johannsdottir, an Iceland native, tallied 14 saves between her two starts including nine in the game against Kentucky.
Scouting Central Arkansas
- Central Arkansas is searching for its first win, sitting at a 0-1-1 record. The UCA Bears will play University of Louisiana Monroe Friday, Aug. 24 at 4:00 p.m. before Sunday's matchup.
- Connie Awuku-Darkoh is the lone goal scorer for the UCA Bears, finding the net in the 1-1 double overtime tie against Little Rock.
- Goalkeeper Lauren Mercuri has logged eight saves, including five against Memphis.
