COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Missouri State track and field team made big strides during day two of the Tom Botts Invitational, earning five event titles.
Georgia Richardson breaks her own pole vault school record, after clearing the 3.71-meter height, good for first place in the meet.
Asha Cave claims two event titles, setting an 11.84 time in the 100-meter dash, before finishing the 200m with a new personal best, 23.63 time.
The Bears captured the top two spots in the triple jump, led by
Jamilah James, who marked a season best 12.29m jump on her third attempt of the day.
Daijha Heron recorded a 12.19m jump to earn second place.
Missouri State's 4x100-meter relay, teamed by
Taryn Smiley, Cave,
Divina Henry and
Marissa Kurtimah, produced a first place season best finish of 45.71.
Missouri State will head into the final regular season tune up with a split squad weekend. The Bears will travel to the Drake Relays (April 26-28) and the Memphis Tiger Invitational (April 27-28).
