Missouri State (21-11, 15-3 Missouri Valley Conference) stays on the road for the second round of the WNIT, heading to TCU (20-12, 9-9 Big 12) for a noon Saturday tip in Fort Worth.
   The Lady Bears earned a 63-59 round one win at Louisiana Tech on Thursday, handing the Lady Techsters their first ever postseason home loss in 41 such games. MSU's win was also the program's first in the postseason since 2012, though MSU has qualified in four consecutive seasons.

Kellie Harper is making her 11th postseason appearance in 14 seasons as a head coach, and has directed her teams to a collective 30-20 record in NCAA, WNIT and conference tournaments. Missouri State also owns seven victories over Power Five schools in Harper's five years, including three in true road games.
WNIT History
The Lady Bears are making their eighth WNIT appearance, and own an 11-6 record in the event, with 14 of those games taking place in Springfield. MSU dropped an overtime decision to Eastern Kentucky in the opening round of the 2002 meet, then swept the WNIT field with five straight victories in 2005 to claim their first national tournament title.Â
   In 2010, the Lady Bears knocked off Oral Roberts and Samford before falling to Illinois in the third round at JQH Arena, and defeated Rice before losing to Arkansas in the second round in 2011. In 2012, MSU defeated UMKC and Memphis at JQH Arena before losing at eventual champion Oklahoma State in the third round. Missouri State had first-round exits to Tulsa and Iowa in 2015 and 2017.
The Series
The Lady Bears are 1-2 all-time against TCU, with the most recent meeting an 82-68 Horned Frog win in Boulder, Colo., in November 2014. TCU won in Fort Worth in December 2001 and the Lady Bears won in Springfield in December 1999.

TCU is 20-12 overall and finished fifth in the Big 12 with a 9-9 league mark. Amy Okonkwo, Jordan Moore and Kianna Ray each earned all-conference honors, and Okonkwo is the Big 12 Sixth Player of the Year after averaging 15.1 points and 5.8 rebounds. As a team, TCU averages 74.6 points and allows 71.4, shooting 44.9 percent overall, 36.3 percent on 3-pointers and 75.8 percent at the foul line.
