SPRINGFIELD – Following a Missouri Valley Conference Championship Title and an appearance at the 2017 NCAA Soccer Tournament, Missouri State women's soccer head coach
Rob Brewer announced the signing of seven National Letters of Intent for the 2018 season.

"We are very excited about this incoming class and how these young women will add to our program," Brewer said. "As a group, they are very athletic and have a great blend of speed, size and strength. They each possess high soccer IQ's, so we expect them to be able to compete well as freshmen."
2018 COMMITMENTS
Sierra Fury – Forward – Wichita, Kan. – Kapaun Mt. Carmel HS
A force to be reckoned with, Fury comes to Missouri State as a three-year starter and letterwinner at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School. She has led her team in goals scored each of her three seasons, racking up 15 goals as a freshman, a remarkable 20 goals as a sophomore and another 10 as a junior. Leading her team to a regional championship in 2017, Fury was the first junior in program history to be selected as a team captain. The Crusaders posted a 12-6-1 overall record and Fury was awarded First Team All-City and All-State honors to accompany her team MVP recognition. As a sophomore, she led the Crusaders to a regional championship and second-place finish at state. She was voted the team MVP and picked up All-City, All-State and All-Metro First Team laurels. Fury led the way to a city league and regional championship in her freshman campaign, and was awarded second-team All-City honors as a result.

Coaching staff on Fury: "Sierra brings great pace to the team and has been a great goal scorer in high school, scoring 45 times in three seasons. She has also performed well when playing wide as a defender. Sierra was the first ever junior selected as a captain for Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School and will be looked to as a leader in this class. As a player who is a good 1v1 attacker and makes good off ball runs, we expect her to contribute immediately."

Kolbi Gonzales – Defender – Overland Park, Kan. – Blue Valley Southwest HS
Entering her senior season, Gonzales is a three-year starter and letterwinner at Blue Valley Southwest High School who has a 2017 state championship title under her belt. Serving as team captain her junior season, Gonzales led the way to a near-perfect 17-3-1 overall record and state championship title. Her efforts earned her All-EKL Honorable Mention laurels. She was placed on the All-EKL Second Team after posting a 14-3-2 record as a sophomore. In her freshman campaign, Gonzales and her Timberwolves finished runner-up at the Kansas State Championships and boasted an impressive 17-2 overall record. She was named to the All-EKL Honorable Mention team and started every match. Showing promise on the hardwood as well, she was a member of the junior varsity basketball team as a freshman and was a starter on the varsity team as a sophomore. Competitively, Gonzales is a member of the Sporting Blue Valley Developmental Academy and won a state championship with the team in 2014.

Coaching staff on Gonzales: "Kolbi is a very athletic defender that can play anywhere across the back line. She shows great composure, reads the game well and is good in the air. She has been playing at a high level with Sporting Blue Valley Developmental Academy and should compete for playing time immediately this fall."

Grace Heenan – Midfielder – Lee's Summit, Mo. – Lee's Summit West HS
Earning a starting spot on the varsity roster as a freshman, Heenan has started and played in every single varsity game during her time at Lee's Summit West High School. As a junior, she led her team to a district and sectional championship and went on to finish as the third-best team in the state of Missouri. Because of her efforts, Heenan was awarded All-Conference, All-District and All-Region honors and was named to the Elite Eleven by the Western Missouri Coaches Poll. To cap off an impressive 12-5 record, she received the LSW 110% Award for Outstanding Performance. ÂAs a sophomore, she led Lee's Summit West to a second-place finish in district thanks to a 12-5 overall record and 4-1 mark in league play. Competitively, she is five-time Missouri State Champion with the Pink Panther Elite club team. The squad placed third at nationals in 2017 and she assisted the team to a second-place finish in the National League.

Coaching staff on Heenan: "Grace is a strong and technical player who should find a home in the middle of the field for the Bears. She is a powerful striker of the ball, is a good 1v1 attacker as well as a capable playmaker in the midfield. Grace has recently played for Pink Panthers Elite, winning five Missouri state championships and registering a third-place finish at nationals."

Josie Meeks – Defender/Midfielder – Des Peres, Mo. – Kirkwood HS
A three-year letterwinner at Kirkwood High School, Meeks has been a consistent starter for the Pioneers as a defender/midfielder. After finishing fourth in conference as a junior, she was named to the Suburban South All-Conference Second Team. Meeks helped her team to a 14-8 finish as a sophomore and the squad finished third in conference during her freshman campaign after compiling an impressive 16-7 overall record. Showing promise on the field hockey pitch, she named the team's most valuable player as a freshman.

Coaching staff on Meeks: "Josie is very versatile and athletic player who has been competing for Missouri Rush Premier. Not only is she a dependable defender and ball winner, she has shown promise at the forward position. Josie's versatility will allow her to contribute at several positions in the fall."

Kennady Orlick – Forward/Midfielder – Raymore, Mo. – Raymore-Peculiar HS
Orlick comes to Missouri State as a three-year letterwinner from Raymore-Peculiar High School. Orlick was named a starter, as well as a team captain, during her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons. Recognized for her efforts, Orlick was an all-conference selection her freshman and junior seasons, and was named to the all-district team as a sophomore. Â

Coaching staff on Orlick: "Kennady is a talented attacking player who is very effective playing in space. She is strong on the ball, has a high soccer IQ and defends well higher up the field. She can be a goal scorer and will bring athleticism to a very dangerous group of returning players."

Jami Rance – Forward – Liberty, Mo. – Liberty North HS
A three-year standout at Liberty North High School, Rance and the Eagles earned a conference championship during her junior campaign. In her third year at Liberty North, she was the Parkway College Showcase Player of the Match and started every game before sustaining an injury. Rance earned All-Conference and All-District honors as a sophomore and helped her team to an undefeated conference championship run and 27-2 overall record. In her freshman campaign, Rance earned a starting spot on the varsity squad and led Liberty North to an undefeated conference championship. The Eagles went 26-2-1 during her freshman season. She was a member of Kansas ODP and Region II ODP Pool, was an ECNL State Champion and currently plays for KC Scott Gallagher Academy.

Coaching staff on Rance: Jami is an attacking player that brings size (5'11") and speed to the Bears front line. A veteran of ECNL, Kansas ODP, and Region II ODP Pool, she currently plays for KC Scott Gallagher Academy. As a forward for Liberty North High School, Jami has hit the net 42 times in her first three seasons despite missing all but four games as a junior.Â

Cammie Robinson – Defender – Ballwin, Mo. – Eureka HS
A three-year starter and letterwinner at Eureka High School, Robinson is a solid defensive addition to the Bears' back line. As a junior, she picked up All-State and All-Conference honors to accompany her team's 2017 Missouri High School State Championship. She led her team to a conference championship as a sophomore in 2016. Robinson will join her older sister, Brittney, on the MSU roster this fall.

Brittney Robinson as a Bear. She has played recently with Lou Fusz Wipke and was a State Champion with Eureka High School. She is expected to vie for playing time as a defender and midfielder as a freshman. Cammie is very strong in the air, is a quality passer with both feet and is a quality player in both attacking and defending situations."

Brewer's Final Thoughts
"There is a solid balance of attackers and defenders in this class and, when combined with three current freshmen who missed the 2017 season, we will have 10 new players to add to 18 returning veterans. Coming off such a successful 2017 season, we are working to sustain momentum as a program in 2018. The future for the Missouri State women's soccer team is so bright! Go Bears!"
