Day Two Results
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Missouri State track and field team finished the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference Championship in fifth-place (62 points), led by
Daijha Heron and
Jamilah James who took the top two spots in the triple jump.

Heron marked a new triple jump career best, 12.68-meters (41-07.25) to earn the title. The Whitby, Ontario native bested her previous record by over a foot. Â

Earning MVC Freshman of the Year honors, James caped off her 13 point weekend with a second place finish in triple jump with a new career best 12.59m (41-03.75) leap.

On the track
Asha Cave earned two fifth place finishes. Running a 7.54 time in the 60-meter dash before finishing the 200m in 24.76.

Meanwhile
Grace Breiten posted a new season best 3,000-meter time, finishing in seventh place with a 9:59.94 pace.

The Bears ended the championship with the 4x400-meter relay. MSU's team was comprised of Cave,
Kadisha Francois,
Divina Henry and
Isa Videler who captured fifth place on a 3:52.94 time.
