Men’s Soccer Bears Release 2018 Spring Schedule

February 12, 2018

SPRINGFIELD – Seven home matches highlight the 2018 Missouri State men's soccer spring schedule, announced by head coach Jon Leamy this week. The Bears are coming off a historic fall season, where the team captured its seventh Missouri Valley Conference regular-season championship.

"The coaching staff feels we have a strong spring 2018 squad," associate head coach Michael Seabolt said. "With 5 new additions this January we want to make sure that the deep spring season squad is battle tested and ready to defend, and build on, our 2017 MVC Regular Season Championship in the fall. For that reason we are playing a double header on all of our spring dates."

The slate features 11 exhibition style matches throughout the spring. The games will kick off against Missouri S&T and Eastern Illinois University on March 4.

The Bears will have a four game home stand starting March 24 as the squad takes on Rockhurst University, in a double header, at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium. MSU will then go up against the University of Central Arkansas and Southwest Baptist University on April 8 at home.

The Bears will then travel to St. Louis on April 14 to take on Maryville University and Saint Louis University.

The Bears will end the spring season on April 22 in Springfield against Northeastern State University, Central Methodist University and Missouri Valley College.

"Please come out and get an early peak at your 2018 Missouri State Bears Men's Soccer Team," Seabolt said. "Also be sure and follow all the games on twitter @MSUBearsMSoccer!"
