SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State men's soccer team (8-1-5, 2-1-2 MVC) wrap up the regular season at home in a championship deciding Missouri Valley Conference match against Central Arkansas. The Bears will also be celebrating the senior night of five athletes;

Know the Bears
- The Bears will play for a back-to-back MVC regular season championship and the eighth in program history. A win against Central Arkansas on Saturday would earn the Bears a share of the championship with Loyola and the second seed and first a round bye at the MVC Tournament next week.
- Saturday's match against Central Arkansas also serves at the Bears senior night. MSU will celebrate five outstanding seniors; Jake Buckle, Conor Ingram, Jake Laird, Harry Lewis and Ian Wu.
- A rematch of the 2017 MVC Tournament championship, will feature the top offence and the top defense in the conference. Central Arkansas leads the MVC in goals scored (22), while Missouri State paces the conference in goals-against-average (.523).
- The Bears offense has outscored its opponents early and often this season. Holding a 10-1 advantage in goals scored in the first half. The only goal the Bears have allowed in the first half came in the first minute of a 4-1 win over UMKC in Springfield on Sept. 15.
- MSU has scored 19 goals this season, nine different athletes have scored goals for the Bears this season led by Josh Dolling with nine.
- Dolling has scored the game-winning goal for the Bears five times this season. That sits him tied for eighth in the country and first in the MVC in the category. Dolling's single season game-winning goal mark also is tied for second most in program history.
- The Bears rank seventh in the country in goals-against-average, which paces the conference, allowing only eight goals through 14 games, a .523 GAA.
- Missouri State continues to receive votes in the College Soccer News Top 30 poll and stands sixth in the United Soccer Coaches West Region.
- The latest NCAA RPI report for the 2018 season has the Bears listed at No. 68.
The Opponents
Central Arkansas Bears
- The Bears entered last Saturday's match-up ranked third in the nation in shots on goal per game, pacing an average of 7.96 on target in each match.
- UCA took down Loyola 1-0 last weekend, putting themselves in contention for a MVC title. The Bears sit with 10 points in conference play, two points ahead of Missouri State.
- Central Arkansas' junior Niklas Brodacki has 37 goals for his career, which ties him for 9th-most in Valley history.

Central Arkansas Bears
Missouri State leads the series tied 9-4-2 all time, dating back to 2006. Last time the two squads meet was in the championship match of the MVC tournament last season, Central Arkansas came away with the victory and the MVC title, 1-0 in overtime. The two Bears teams also meet in the regular season last year on Sept. 13, where MSU came away with the 2-1 win in double overtime at UCA.Â
