Men's Golf Making Leaps and Bounds at The Jackrabbit

Day two of The Jackrabbit saw several ups and downs for the Missouri State men's golf team, with the Bears ultimately falling one spot to fifth in the team standings. Shooting two rounds of 293 for a two round total of 586, the men's golf team was passed by Idaho who now sits in third after shooting 584.

Senior Brad Carpenter continues to pace the Bears and stay in the top 10. Shooting 71-72--143, Carpenter holds on to a tie for eighth, only five strokes back from UCF's Kyler Tate who holds the lead with 135. Adam Fisher highlighted a 75 stroke day with an eagle on the 11th hole marking two Bears with eagles in as many days. Fisher is currently tied for 23rd with 147.

Carter Lee moved up 13 spots in the leaderboard after carding a turn-around performance in round two. Shooting 77-72--149, the freshman is tied for 30th going into the final day of competition. Two strokes behind him, Jack Knoesel shot 73-78--151 and Kory Franks had 82-74--156. As an individual, Chris Obert shot 84-74--158 to move up to 64th.

Central Florida and Kansas continue to hold onto the top two spots with 561 and 564, respectively. Idaho has moved into third with 584 ahead of Missouri (585) and the Bears (586) to round out the top five. Host South Dakota State (589) holds onto sixth followed by, UMKC (591), Wichita State (593), SIU Edwardsville (595), Indian Hills CC (595), Omaha (609), Hutchinson CC (610), and North Dakota (624).
