The Missouri State men's golf team finished seventh today at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate. The Bears moved up into the middle of the 14 team field in round three, up one from their day 2 finish. Junior
Adam Fisher led the Bears, firing his best round on Tuesday to finish at an even par. Rounds of 71-75-70--216 put Fisher in a tie for 13th, within eight of the leader.
Jack Knoesel matched his teammate for par with rounds of 70-74-72--216.
Brad Carpenter closed with his lowest round of the tournament shooting 76-78-70-224. Both
Kory Franks and
John Fuchs struggled in round three, finishing tied for 49th with 226 strokes each.
In the team standings, Missouri State finished seventh, ahead of Southern Mississippi, Houston Baptist, Lamar, Nicholls State, Southeastern Louisiana, Incarnate Work, and U. of New Orleans. South Florida jumped out to a commanding lead with a final score of 21-under par. S. F. Austin came in at a distant second at 8-under par, followed by host Louisiana Tech.

The Bears travel to Madison, Ill. for the Derek Dolenc Invitational next Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 25-26) at the Gateway National Golf Links.
