SPRINGFIELD – Following its breakout victory over SIUE, the Missouri State women's soccer team (3-5-0) returns home to Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium on Tuesday, Sept. 12 for a 7 p.m. matchup against Oral Roberts.

  • Missouri State's five goals against SIUE marks the most goals scored in a match by the Bears since its 5-0 victory over Little Rock on August 17, 2012.
  • Senior Mary Disidore recorded a career-high two goals against the SIUE Cougars on Sunday. The senior now leads the Missouri State offense with three goals and eight points.

  • Freshman goalkeeper Lexi Palacio made her collegiate debut Sunday afternoon at SIUE. The newcomer found herself in a one-on-one situation in the 83rd minute and brought in the first save of her career to keep the Cougars from tightening the score.
  • Offensively, the Bears have combined for 11 goals on the season and have limited their opponents to just 12.
 
Scouting Oral Roberts
  • The Golden Eagles enter Tuesday's contest with a 2-5-0 overall record. ORU has played a pair of Missouri State opponents, falling 3-0 to Arkansas State (9/1) and 3-2 to Central Arkansas (9/10).
  • As a team, Oral Roberts combines for 11 goals on the season while holding its opponents to 17. Senior Amanda Dial leads the Golden Eagles with three goals, two assists and eight points while Jordan Langebartles and Amogelang Motau each boast two goals.
  • Keepers Paige Vincent and Ryleigh Bohnenstiehl have both spent time in the ORU goal this season, combining for 39 saves. Bohnenstiehl sits first on the squad with 20 saves and a .417 save percentage.
  • The Golden Eagles are led by head coach Roger Bush, who is in his fifth year at the helm.
 
Series History
Missouri State holds a slim, 9-8-4 all-time series lead over the Golden Eagles. The Bears went on a five-game win streak from 2008 to 2012 before ORU pulled out its seventh victory of the rivalry in the 2013 season. The Golden Eagles won the last matchup between the two squads, as the Bears fell 3-1 at Oral Roberts on Sept. 4, 2016. Then-senior Molly Brewer was the lone Bear to net a goal, which secured her spot in MSU's top-10 career leaderboard in goals scored.
