Missouri State wrapped up its third NCAA Division I regional title Monday with its third one-run victory of the weekend, a 3-2 decision over top-seeded Arkansas at the Fayetteville Regional. Head coach Keith Guttin's Bears defeated Oklahoma State on a two-run, walk-off home run by Jeremy Eierman on Friday, then bested the host Hogs by a 5-4 score in the first of three-straight meetings with Arkansas. After an 11-10 setback to UA in a rain-soaked rematch that began Sunday evening and stretched into early Monday morning, MSU rebounded behind a shutdown pitching performance from three hurlers, as well as another game-clinching, two-run shot from Eierman to secure its second Super Regional berth in three seasons.

The No. 6 national seed in the 2017 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, TCU nipped Central Connecticut State in its postseason opener, then toppled No. 2 seed Virginia and Missouri Valley Conference Tournament champion DBU to sweep the field at the Fort Worth Regional. The Horned Frogs will be making their fourth-consecutive Super Regional appearance and their seventh overall at the Division I level.
