SPRINGFIELD -- The Missouri State tennis team returns home for the first time in two months this weekend to conclude the regular season with matches against Illinois State at 10 a.m. Friday and Bradley at 10 a.m. Sunday at Cooper Tennis Complex.
MSU Notables
Missouri State is 6-14 overall and 1-4 in Missouri Valley Conference matches, tied for sixth with UNI and Bradley...Sunday's match will serve as Senior Day for the Bears'

The Opponents
Illinois State is 10-10 overall and sits in second place in the MVC with a 4-1 league mark. The Redbirds have won just under 45 percent of their singles matches on the year, but bump that number to 60 percent in MVC play, and own a .464 doubles winning percentage on the season.  Â
   Bradley is 10-12 overall and tied with MSU at 1-4 in conference matches. The Braves boast five players with at least 10 singles victories throughout the fall and spring seasons, and own dual winning percentages of .481 in singles and .453 in doubles.
The Series
Missouri State is 6-20 all-time versus Illinois State and 16-7 against Bradley. The Bears defeated Illinois State 4-3 in 2015 and lost 6-1 last season, and have suffered 4-3 setbacks to Bradley each of the last two years.

The Missouri Valley Conference Team Tennis Championship takes place from April 28-30 in Normal, Ill. The eight traditional MVC schools will be seeded in order of regular season finish, while affiliate member Stony Brook will be slotted based on ITA rankings relative to the other eight schools. The eighth and ninth seeds will face off at 9 a.m. on April 28, with the winner advancing to the main eight-team bracket.
