SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State men's soccer team (9-4-1, 5-2 MVC) will close out the regular-season as they take on Drake, Saturday at 6 p.m. in Des Moines, Iowa.

Know the Bears
- The Bears claimed the MVC Regular Season Championship for the first time since 2014. MSU owns at least a share of the title and would win the championship outright with a victory or a tie over Drake.
- The Bears 'bend, but don't break' defense has given up 145 shots through 14 games, but only given up eight goals. MSU's goals against average is the lowest in the Missouri Valley and 10th lowest in the NCAA (.553).
- Senior goalkeeper Liam Priestley has held up nine shutouts this season marking 23 shutouts in his career, which ranks him tied for second overall in Missouri State history and tied for seventh in MVC history. Priestley ranks top five nationally in shutouts (9) and goals against average (.446).
- Freshman Josh Dolling netted two goals last week en route to earning Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors. Dolling has marked four goals this season three of which have come in conference play. He is also fourth in the conference in game-winning goals.
- The Bears close out the regular season with the conference leading No. 65 RPI and is ranked fourth in the United Soccer Coaches Association West Region.
- After Saturday's match the Bears will turn its attention to the 2017 MVC Championship that will take place in Peoria, Ill., November 7-12 at historic Shea Stadium. As the No. 1 seed MSU will start play on Friday, Nov. 10 in the semifinals.

The Opponent
Drake Bulldogs
- Drake (5-10-1, 2-4-1 MVC) is led by Leroy Enzugusi who has netted four goals this season off of 32 shot attempts.
- Redshirt sophomore Alex Peterson scored his first career goal in Drake's 1-0 road win at Evansville. Peterson has started all 16 matches in his first season of play after missing his first two years due to injury.
- Drake will be looking to improve on their seeding for the MVC Championship. The Bulldogs could end up in the five to seven seed range depending upon the final of Saturday's match up.

Missouri State holds a 13-13-6 all-time series record with Drake. The two squads faced off earlier this season, which ended in a 2-1 victory for Drake on Oct. 14. in Springfield. The Bulldogs broke a seven game win streak for the Bears and six consecutive shutouts. The Bears look to avenge the loss Saturday night.
