SPRINGFIELD – Returning home to Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium, the Missouri State women's soccer team is set to host UNI in a 2 p.m. matchup on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Missouri State Quick Kicks
- A prominent leader of the MSU squad, senior Mary Disidore leads the team with four goals and 10 points. Disidore has put in the most time on the pitch, racking up 1194 minutes of play for the Bears. Netting one game-winner this season, she is a near-perfect 2-3 in penalty kicks.
- Missouri State recorded a season-high 26 shots against Tulsa on Sunday, Sept. 17. Of those 26 shots, nine were on goal. Sophomore Kayleigh Putnam led the squad with six shots while senior Brooke Zimmerman recorded five. Zimmerman leads the team with 28 shots.
- Last Thursday's, 2-1, win at Indiana State snapped the Bears' three-game losing streak. In the match, Brooke Prondzinski and Brooke Zimmerman recorded goals. The pair follow Disidore with three goals each.
- In goal, freshman Kaitlin Maxwell leads the Missouri State goalkeepers with 41 saves and a 5-6-0 overall record. Maxwell has recorded three shutouts and maintains a .719 save percentage.
- With four guaranteed games remaining on the schedule, the Bears have gathered more goals this season than during their 2016 campaign. Last year the Bears netted 15 goals and have recorded 17 so far this season.
- The Bears have out-shot their opponents 190-179 this season and boast a .411 shooting percentage. Averaging 13.6 shots per match, Missouri State recorded a season-high shooting percentage (.455) and shots on goal percentage (.727) at SIUE on Sept. 10.
The Opponent
- The Panthers enter Saturday's contest with a near-perfect 10-1-1 record. Their only loss of the season came at the hands of Montana on Sept. 10, and their lone tie was against North Dakota (9/17). Prior to the team's loss to Montana, the Panthers were on a six-match win streak.
- UNI ranks second in the Valley with 25 goals and 72 points on the season. Offensively, Brynell Yount leads the squad and ranks third in the league with eight goals. The Panthers have recorded 21 assists on the season while limiting their opponents to just seven.
- Defensively, Jami Reichenberger is the lone Panther to see action in goal. The keeper has racked up 1101 minutes and has allowed a league-low six goals this season. She has nine shutouts on the season and leads the Valley with a .875 save percentage.
- The Panthers are led by head coach Bruce Erickson, who is in his first season at the helm for UNI.
Series History
Dropping just a handful of games to UNI, Missouri State holds a comfortable 18-4-0 lead over the Panthers. The Bears went on a 12-game win streak over UNI from 2003 to 2013. UNI claimed the last meeting between the two teams as the Bears dropped a 1-0 contest at Cedar Falls, Iowa. Missouri State's most recent victory was back in 2015 when the Bears outscored UNI 2-1. In its series history, Missouri State is 11-2 at home against the Panthers.
