The Missouri State Women's golf team turned in a season-best performance at the MVC Fall Preview in Newton, Kan. The Bears shot 312-303-306--921 to tie with Southern Illinois for third in the 11-team field. Former MVC member, Wichita State took home the title over UNI after a one-hole tiebreaker round. Bradley rounded up the top five with 307-308-309--924.

In the individual standings, junior
Rachel Johnson paced the Bears firing off 77-70-77--224. Johnson's scores were a season best and good enough to tie for second, just six strokes behind the leader. Senior
Verena Gimmy also posted strong scores, shooting 80-70-76--226 to tie for sixth.
Ashley Childers finished tied for 28th after carding 79-82-75--236.
Ryan Pate shot 90-81-92 for 66th, while teammate
Stine Pettersen came back for round three to card 78 finishing with 154 between two rounds. Competing as an individual, Freshman
Niamh Lendrum finished 38th in her first collegiate tournament with rounds of 74-81-84--239.
