SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State women's soccer team (0-4-1) will host the Omaha Mavericks (2-2) on Friday (Sept. 9) and Central Arkansas Bears (4-2) on Sunday (Sept. 11) to kick off a four-game home stand at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium.

Missouri State has never lost to Omaha, holding the all-time record of 3-0-1 against the Mavericks. The most recent meeting between the two programs was in Omaha, Neb. where the Bears topped the Mavericks, 1-0, and then-freshman

The Bears are 2-1 all-time against Central Arkansas, with the first meeting between the two programs resulting in a 2-0 victory for Missouri State in Conway, Ark. in 2013. MSU's only loss was at home in 2014, when Central Arkansas scored the game-winning goal in the 77
th minute of the match to take the game, 3-2.
Quick Kicks
- This weekend's pair of matches will begin a four-game home stand for Missouri State, the longest home stand of the season for the Bears. Missouri State is 0-1 at home after dropping the home opener to Little Rock (Aug. 26), 2-0, after the Trojans scored two goals in the second half.
- Brooke Prondzinski and Molly Brewer tallied the first two goals of the season for the Bears at Tulsa and Oral Roberts, respectively. Brewer's goal was the 14th of her career, moving her into the top-10 career leaderboard in goals scored in MSU program history.
- Despite falling 3-1 at Oral Roberts, MSU goalkeeper Evan Stamp collected a season and career high eight saves in the match, the most of any keeper on the squad this season. Stamp is currently ranked third in the league in saves (26), averaging 5.20 saves per game.
Scouting the Opponents
The Mavericks are sitting at .500 with a record of 2-2 on the season. Omaha opened the season with a 2-0 victory over UMKC at home. The team then took a week off before falling to in-state rival Creighton (3-1) and regained a winning-season after topping North Dakota (2-0) two days later. Omaha will arrive in Springfield coming off of a 1-0 loss to Kansas State. The Mavericks' match at Missouri State will be their first road game of the season.
The Central Arkansas Bears have a combined record of 4-2 and are currently on a three-game win streak. Central Arkansas has captured victories over Little Rock (1-0), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (3-0), Arkansas State (1-0) and Louisiana at Monroe (2-0) while falling to Missouri (3-2) and Tulsa (2-1). The Bears will face Kansas State at home on Friday (Sept. 9) before traveling to Springfield.
