- The Bears have tallied a total of 28 shots in their first two matches this season. Mike Lightbourne (5), Conor Ingram (4), Nick Burtenshaw (3) and Jack Griffin (3) lead the way for Missouri State. Lightbourne checks in at the No. 8 spot in the Missouri Valley Conference in shots. Missouri State opponents have only combined for 10 shots.
- Sophomore Jake Buckle is current second in the MVC in assists after he tallied two in the 2-0 victory over Green Bay in the season opener. Buckle became the first Bear to record two assists in a single match since 2013.
- Since 2011, Missouri State has posted a combined record of 4-3-4 in tournaments hosted at a neutral site during the regular season.
Scouting the Opponents
The Grand Canyon men's soccer team comes into the match with a record of 1-2 after winning its season opener, 4-2, against Central Florida at home.
