Quick Kicks
- Friday night's game against SIUE is "Break the Attendance Record Night" for the women's soccer program. The attendance record of 905 at a women's soccer game was set at Cooper Sports Complex in 1999 when the Bears played SEMO. There will giveaways to the first 150 fans through the gate and admission is free for all fans.
- The Missouri State Bears went undefeated last weekend against Omaha (2-1) and Central Arkansas (1-0), winning their first two games of the season. The last time MSU won two-consecutive games was against Indiana State (Oct. 10) and Illinois State (Oct. 17) last season. The Bears haven't won two-consecutive games in Springfield since 2014.
- Junior Brooke Zimmerman fired four of her five shots on the season in the two matches against Omaha (3) and Central Arkansas (1) this weekend. Sunday's lone shot converted to Zimmerman's fifth-career game-winning goal to lift the Bears over Central Arkansas in the 84th minute of play. With her game-winner, Zimmerman moves into the top-10 career leaderboard of game-winning goals in MSU program history.
- Fifteen seconds after checking into Friday's match against Omaha, freshman Ashley Coonfield scored her first college goal, and the game-winning goal of the match, for the Bears. She is the only freshman to record a goal this season and currently ranks seventh on the team in shots taken.
- Evan Stamp played a vital role in net for the Bears this weekend, allowing just one goal Friday night and grabbing a shutout victory on Sunday. Making 12 saves on the weekend, and a single-game career high nine saves in Sunday's match, the junior leads the Valley in saves per game, averaging 5.43 saves per game in the net this season. Sunday's match against Central Arkansas was the first game since UMKC (Aug. 24) that the keeper didn't allow a goal while Friday's match against Omaha was the first since Little Rock (Aug. 26) that Stamp allowed less than three goals in the match.

SIUE won their second match of the season against the visiting University of Illinois-Chicago (3-1). The Cougars will arrive to Springfield on a two-game losing streak, dropping games at Iowa (5-1) and Saint Louis (4-1). SIUE has not won on the road this season.
