JONESBORO, Ark. – Heavy rain throughout the week in Jonesboro, Arkansas has rendered the playing surface at the A-State Soccer Complex unplayable.  As a result, the Arkansas State administration has cancelled the match originally slated for 4:00 p.m. on Friday (Aug. 19).
 
As a result of the cancellation, the Bears will now open the regular season at Texas Tech with a 7:00 p.m. match on Sunday (Aug. 21) in Lubbock, Texas.  MSU will continue its now two-match road swing at UMKC on Wednesday (Aug. 24) also at 7:00 p.m.
 
The Bears open the home slate at Betty and Bobby Allison South Stadium next Friday (Aug. 26) against Little Rock.  The 6:00 p.m. contest versus the Trojans will be the first-ever production of The Valley on ESPN3 for the MSU women's soccer team.
