Series History
Missouri State is 10-5-1 all-time against Missouri Valley Conference foe Indiana State, with the last meeting between the two programs resulting in a 2-1 victory by the Bears in Terre Haute, Ind. last season. Then-sophomore, Rachel Catrell, tallied the game-winning goal in the 70th minute of the match to give MSU its second conference win of the 2015 season.

The Kansas State Wildcats women's soccer team is currently in its inaugural season. In October 2014, K-State Director of Athletics, John Currie, announced the addition of women's soccer as a varsity sport. The Wildcats were granted four home matches in 2016, while the rest are on the road.

Quick Kicks
  • For the second-consecutive season, the Bears will host a match on MSU's homecoming weekend. Last year, Illinois State traveled to Betty and Bobby Allison South, where the Bears took the match, 1-0, over the Redbirds off of a game-winning goal by Brooke Zimmerman in the 48th minute.
  • Monday's match against Kansas State has been designated as MSU's annual "Pink Game." Fans that wear a pink shirt to the match will receive free admission into the game.
  • Junior Mary Disidore has registered at least one shot in MSU's last five matches and accounted for half of the Bears' shots in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Illinois State. The junior's second shot, of a team-high four shots, was enough to equalize with the red-hot Redbirds, tying the match at one-all in the 28th minutes. Disidore has a team-leading 18 shots on the season, just two shy of matching her career season-high of 20 shots that she tallied her freshman season.
  • MSU goalkeeper, Evan Stamp, was awarded MVC Goalkeeper of the Week laurels on Tuesday (Oct. 11) after collecting a career-high 13 saves, and allowing just one goal, at Illinois State last Sunday. The junior matched her career-high save total in the first half alone, making nine stops on 16 shots taken by Illinois State. The keeper went on to make four more saves, giving her 13 total in the match and 71 on the year. The Redbirds tallied 35 shots in the match, the most the Bears have witnessed by an opponent this season. Stamp has now made eight or more saves in a single match on four occasions this season.
  • Redshirt Molly Brewer made her first appearance in nearly six matches at Illinois State on Sunday after an injury that she suffered in the early minutes of MSU's 1-0 victory over Central Arkansas (Sept. 11). Brewer is currently second on the team this season in goals (2), second in career-assists (15), third in career-points (45) at MSU.
Scouting the Opponents
The Indiana State Sycamores come into Saturday's match with an overall record of 6-8-1 and are 1-1-1 in the MVC. The Sycamores opened the season with a victory over Western Illinois (3-0) and went 2-3 over their next five matches, securing wins over Akron (2-0) and Eastern Illinois (2-0). Indiana State dropped four matches before winning three-straight against Chicago State (7-0), Fort Wayne (3-0) and Drake (3-2). The Sycamores are coming off of a double-overtime scoreless draw against UNI.

Missouri State will conclude non-conference competition with Kansas State, who is currently sitting at 4-7-3 on the year. The Wildcats opened their season on an eight-game road swing, capturing wins over Oakland (6-0) and Omaha (1-0), tying SIU Edwardsville (0-0) and Creighton (1-1), and falling to Saint Louis (3-1), Central Michigan (2-0), Central Arkansas (1-0) and Little Rock (2-1).
