TULSA, Okla. - Hillary Chvatal established career highs in points, rebounds and steals Monday evening, but Oral Roberts (2-2) claimed the victory with a 70-57 win over Missouri State (0-4) at the Mabee Center.

Chvatal scored nine points, grabbed 15 rebounds and swiped four steals in 29 minutes, and Kenzie Williams scored 15 points to lead the offensive attack.

The Lady Bears led 6-4 early when ORU took control with an 11-0 run to lead 15-6 with 13:30 left in the first half. Lee Ann Polowy's 3-pointer pulled MSU to 15-11 with 12:08 on the clock, and the Lady Bears pulled within four points on two other occasions before the Golden Eagles hit a pair of free throws to match their largest lead thus far at 29-20 with 3:29 remaining.

Over the next two minutes, Aubrey Buckley, Lexi Hughes and Onye Osemenam scored for a 6-0 MSU run that pulled the visitors to 29-26 with 1:34 left, and ORU took a 33-28 advantage into the break despite Chvatal grabbing 10 rebounds in the first period.

The Golden Eagles opened the second half on an 8-0 run to go ahead 41-28 with 17:24, and led by at least 10 points for the remainder of the game with the exception of a 36-second stretch as the Lady Bears shot just 7-for-36 in the period.

Missouri State won the rebounding battle 50-46 and committed a season-low 12 turnovers, but made 17 field goals in 70 tries compared to 27-of-63 for ORU. The Lady Bears also made 19 free throws in 28 attempts.

Oral Roberts was led by 6-foot-7 senior Vicky McIntyre, who had 23 points, 12 rebounds and eight blocked shots.

Missouri State will spend the Thanksgiving weekend in Boulder, Colo., for the Omni Classic. The Lady Bears will play Colorado at 8:30 p.m. (Central) Friday evening before facing either TCU or Colorado State on Saturday.
