DALLAS – Missouri State women's basketball forward Lainie Douglas was named Conference USA Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Across a 2-0 week for the Lady Bears that helped improve their position in the regular season standings, Douglas averaged 20.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game. She shot .696 (16-23) from the field and .615 (8-13) from the free throw line.

Douglas led the league on the week in scoring average and ranked second in field goal percentage, third in blocks per game and tied for fifth in rebounding average.

In Tuesday's win over Sam Houston, Douglas posted 20 points, pulled down six rebounds and blocked four shots in 21 minutes on the floor. She followed that performance up with 20 more points to go with a career-high 13 rebounds in MoState's 31-point win over FIU.

This marks Douglas' first weekly award of the season.

The Lady Bears will close out the regular season later this week with two road games at Western Kentucky (March 5, 6:30 p.m.) and Middle Tennessee (March 7, 2:00 p.m.). Both games will stream on ESPN+.
