Thursday Results

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Senior distance runner Emily Beaver was Missouri State's lone competitor at the Drake Relays on Thursday (April 25), and took ninth place in the 800-meter run.

Beaver completed the 800 in 2:14.01, a time that ranks as the second-fastest of her outdoor career and the 12th-best mark this season in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Missouri State is slated to compete in a handful of events at the Relays on Friday. Kimsue Grant will contest the long jump. In addition, Grant will join Pernell Joseph, Shavonne Husbands and Althia Maximilien in the 4x200-meter relay. Joseph and Husbands will compete in the 100-meter dash. Finally, Betsy Borgsmiller will look to impress in the high jump.
