CHOUDRANT, La. - The Missouri State men's golf team sits in fourth place after the first day of the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate with scores of 288-295--583.
Ahead of the Bears are Southern Mississippi who is 293-278--571, 5-under through two rounds, Southeastern Louisiana scored 298-282--580, and Louisiana Tech carded 294-288--582.
Individually, Nick Langley (72-71--143) and Mitch Mather (71-72--143) lead Missouri State. Both shot 1-under par through two rounds, and are tied for eighth place overall.
Brik Brauburger totaled 70-78--148 and sits in a tie for 26th place. Rounding out the MSU golfers are Eric Straub (78-74--152) and Joey Johnson (75-82--157).
Gonzalo Rubio of North Texas leads all golfers with his rounds of 69-67--136, putting him at 8-under on the tournament.
