SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Due to continued thunderstorms in the area, the Missouri State Bears' series finale against Illinois State has been canceled.

The Bears (27-10, 6-2 MVC) won the first two games of the series, defeating the Redbirds (20-12, 2-6 MVC) by scores of 14-4 and 10-4 Saturday after inclement weather forced the suspension of play Friday after 5 1/3 innings.

Missouri State will shoot for its 12th consecutive home victory Tuesday, when it hosts Saint Louis at 6:30 p.m. at Hammons Field.
