MSU's Catherine Dolan Qualifies for U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links

Missouri State junior Catherine Dolan has qualified for the United States Women's Amateur Public Links Golf Championship after earning medalist honors at a sectional qualifier Tuesday (May 24).  The Ballwin, Mo., native fired a three-over-par 74 at the Lake Forest Country Club in Lake Saint Louis to earn medalist honors and advance to the championship, to be held June 27-July 2 in Bandon, Ore.

A three-time all-Missouri Valley Conference player, Dolan will be part of a 156-player field that will compete at the Bandon Dunes Resort's Old Macdonald and Bandon Trails courses.  After 36 holes of stroke play June 27-28, the field will be trimmed to 64 for match play starting June 29.

This is the second major USGA competiton for which Dolan has qualified.  She earned a spot in the 2009 U.S. Women's Amateur in suburban St. Louis.
