CUSA Release
Missouri State's
Chloe Bolte is the first Bear golfer to be honored by Conference USA as she has been named the league's Women's Golfer of the Week after her sterling performance at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial earlier in the week.Â
The freshman from Sumner, Iowa led MSU to a 15-stroke win in the season opener by tying for first place through 54 holes before dropping a sudden-death playoff to the reigning junior college national champion. She opened her first collegiate tournament Monday (Sept. 8) with a pair of even-par 71's at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield before posting a three-under-par 68 in the final round. Bolte's 210 score for 54 holes also established a new school record, besting the previous mark of 211 by Abby Cavaiani in 2021.
Teammate
Kiser Pannier, a senior from Sedalia, Mo., finished third after shooting 69-68-75--212 and, together, the duo paced the Bears as the team shot 287-288-291--866, just a shot off the school team record and good for a comfortable margin over runner-up Wichita State.
MoState is idle next week before traveling to the Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Mo., Sept. 22-23.
