COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Missouri State women's golf team sits in a tie for fourth place after Monday's (Sept. 22) 36 holes at the Johnie Imes Invitational at the Club at Old Hawthorne. The Bears opened with a 302 team score in the opening round before rebounding with 294 in the afternoon for a 596 total, placing them in a fourth-place tie with Cincinnati.
Freshman
Chloe Bolte shot 73-72--145 and is tied for eighth after the first day to lead the way for MoState. Senior
Kiser Pannier is next for the Bears in a tie for 24th after shooting 73-76--149, a stroke ahead of teammate
Tierney Baumstark, who carded 78-72--150. Junior
Kyleigh Pfitzner posted 78-74--152 and is tied for 39th, while junior
Coyee Zhang is tied for 56th after shooting 78-78--156. Sophomore
Marlee Edgeman tallied 88-81--169 while playing as an individual.
Host Missouri claimed the lead in the team standings after 36 holes, posting a 562 total, nine better than Kentucky at 573. Wichita State is third with 589, while the Bears and Bearcats round out the top five in the 14-team field.
Tuesday's final round is scheduled for an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
