The Missouri State women's golf team shot its second consecutive 306 on Monday (Oct. 31) and is in 13th place after two rounds at the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
Nebraska leads the field of 14 teams with 294-280--574, two better than host UTSA and Baylor, which are tied at 576. TCU is fourth with 579, followed by Texas Tech (580), Kentucky (585), Central Florida (586), Texas A&M (588), Texas State (594), Kennesaw State (600), Minnesota (602), New Mexico State (605), the Bears (612) and SMU (620).
Junior Hermine Greyling shot a one-over-par 73 at Briggs Ranch Golf Club to lead the Bears on Monday and is tied for 38th with 77-73--150. Freshman Megan Thompson is second for MSU and 51st overall after carding 76-77--153, while senior Catherine Dolan is a stroke back in 56th with 77-77--154. Senior Kelsey Welber is another one behind with 76-79--155 and junior Emma Clegg posted 84-79--163. Baylor's Hayley Davis and Monifa Sealy of Central Florida share the lead with 18 holes to go with 140 totals, four under par.
Tuesday's final round is schedule for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
