Missouri State sophomore Daily Young has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week.  The Springfield native claimed the league's weekly honor after finishing second Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 18-19) at the Bill Ross/UMKC Intercollegiate in Kansas City, Mo.

Young fired 72-72-70--214, two under par at Blue Hills Country Club, to finish just a shot behind medalist Nate Barbee of Kansas.  Young currently ranks second on the team and fourth in the MVC with a 74.36 scoring average in his first season with the Bears after transferring from Coastal Carolina.
