The Missouri State track and field team will send a handful of runners to this Saturday’s Sooner Twilight.  The meet will mark the final competition for the Bears before next week’s MVC Outdoor Championships in Terre Haute, Ind.

After last week’s Arkansas Twilight was cancelled due to inclement weather, the Missouri State coaching staff felt that sending these select runners to Norman, Okla., would be the best way to prepare for the conference meet next week. 

“We wanted to accomplish some things last week to better situate ourselves for conference,” said Assistant Coach Greg Hipp.  “That obviously did not happen due to the cancelation of the meet, so we are taking some girls to Oklahoma this week.”

Events at John Jacobs Field begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, on the University of Oklahoma campus.
