The US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association recently honored individuals for athletic and academic accomplishments. Among the honorees named to the 2008 USTFCCCA All-Academic Women’s Track and Field team were Missouri State’s Renna Berry, Asher Kyger, Jacqueline Lindsey, Yaneika Malcolm, and Terry Phillips. To qualify for the Track and Field All-Academic team, athletes must have a cumulative 3.25 grade point average and must have qualified either automatically or provisionally for the NCAA Division I Indoor or Outdoor regional or national in their respective events.
In addition, the USTFCCCA announced its team Track and Field All-Academic honors. Coach Ronald Boyce's Missouri State women's program accumulated a team grade point average of 3.356 ranking it 24th in the nation. Teams must have had a cumulative 3.00 grade point average to qualify for recognition.
