Missouri State sophomore Jay McBride  has been named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after tying for 27th place at the Braveheart Classic in Beaumont, Calif., Mar. 3-4.  McBride, along with the rest of the field, battled windy conditions at the Oak Valley Country Club to shoot 81-76-76--233 and lead the Bears to a 10th-place finish in the 16-team field.  As a team, MSU shot 323-314-304--641.

The Bears are back in action at the UALR/First Tee Intercollegiate, Mar. 17-18, in Little Rock, Ark.
