The Missouri State track and field teams have ended Thursday's day one of the University of Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kan.
MSU senior Clarissa Codrington recorded a season-best mark of 2:14.38 in the unseeded 800-meter run, earning her a fourth-place finish. Freshman Hannah Nugent finished the race 34th in 2:27.03.
In the 1,500-meter unseeded run, Chloe Key placed 12th with a time of 4:59.54. Lauren Nystrom added a 16th-place finish for MSU in 5:05.37.
On the men's side of the meet, Travis Mack finished 19th for the Bears in the unseeded 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.24. Teammate Caleb Masterson finished close behind in 1:56.34.
Ty Sanders had a fifth-place finish in the unseeded 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:04.26 and Ross Tilghman finished 23rd in 4:20.49.
The Kansas Relays will resume Friday, April 21, at 9 a.m., and conclude Saturday, April 22, with the men's 4x400-meter relay at 6:20 p.m.
