This week's Murney Student-Athlete of the Week is Missouri State baseball's Nick Rodriguez. Rodriguez broke Missouri State’s hitting streak record last weekend at Illinois State and now sits at 32 consecutive games with a hit, tying for the third-longest streak in the Missouri Valley Conference this millennium. He tied Brayden Drake’s school mark of 30 games from 2008-09 with a first-inning home run on Friday and later tied the game in the eighth inning with his second homer to set the table for the MSU victory. Rodriguez got the record all to himself with a double on Saturday and extended it once again Sunday afternoon with a single.
