At Missouri State: Katelyn Frederickson gives the Bears another speedy option at the forward position this season.
2010: Frederickson saw action in all 19 matches for MSU and was in the starting lineup for 17 of those matches. She her first career goal at Oral Roberts (9/3). She recorded assists on both goals in the Bears[apos] conference-opening win at UNI (9/24). Her four assists on the season were second on the team and her 20 shots taken ranked fifth.
Background: Frederickson won a national championship with her club team in 2011. She was a three-year starter for a Nerinx Hall team that accumulated 64 victories over her final three seasons and reached the state quarterfinals her junior and senior years. She earned all-state, all-metro and all-conference honors in each of the three seasons in which she played. Frederickson was named MVP of the team and received Midwest All-American honors her senior year.
Personal: Frederickson is the daughter of Mark and Kathy Frederickson and was born September 16, 1990. She is a dietetics major at Missouri State. Her father, Mark, was an All-American soccer player at Saint Louis University and went on to play professionally for 11 years for the Kansas City Comets, St. Louis Steamers and St. Louis Storm.
