2014-15 Season (Freshman): Competed in a majority of diving events for the Bears ... Had solid showing in collegiate debut at the Missouri Show-Me Showdown (Oct. 3) ... Placed a career-best third with a personal-high 234.05 points on the 1-meter board ... Also took eighth in 3-meter diving with 223.10 points ... Top score on the 3-meter board came in the `Duel in the Pool' hosted by Missouri State at Hammons Student Center (228.22) ... Also had a fourth-place finish in the Truman State dual at HSC.
Background: Graduated from Republic High School in 2014 ... Arrived at MSU after three years of gymnastics and two of diving ... Also started for two seasons on the Republic High School soccer team as a defender ... A tremendous athlete, Maynard won the state all-around title in gymnastics.
