2014-15 Season (Junior): Selected to the 2014-15 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Team ... Had dual third-place finishes in both the 500 freestyle and 1000 freestyle against Truman State at Hammons Student Center (Jan. 17) ... Best finisher among Bears swimmers in the 1000 free behind a personal best 10:28.55 at the `Duel in the Pool' at Drury on Jan. 22 ... Posted her previous lifetime mark in the 1000 free in a dual at Missouri (Oct. 31) ... Also set a season-best time in the 500 free at the Louisville Invitational (Nov. 21) ... Finished season by placing seventh in the B-finals of the 200 freestyle at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship.

2013-14 Season (Sophomore): Honorable mention on all-MVC team ... Named an MVC Scholar Athlete ... Finished fifth at the MVC championships in the 1650 free (17:20.92) ... Member of 400 free relay team that placed first at the Oklahoma Splash Bash in a time of 3:37.76 ... Also finished second in the 400 free relay (3:40.53) at the Missouri dual meet.

2012-13 Season (Freshman): Dropped six seconds off her 500 prelims time to finish 10th overall (5:01.90) and second place in the B-Final on Day 1 of conference; moved up five spots after posting the 15th-fastest time on Thursday morning ... Tied with Illinois State's Katherine Nelson for ninth place in the 200 free consolation final (1:53.73) ... Finished 10th in the 1650 free timed final on Day 3 of the MVC Championships ... Ranked as the Bears' top swimmer in the 200 free heading into the 2013 MVC Championships ... Registered season bests in the 200 free (1:52.49), 1000 free (10:30.53) and 1650 free (17:27.59) at the Purdue Invitational ... Teamed up with Suzanne Van Rensburg for a 1-2 finish in the 1000 free at Mizzou ... Finished the season among the Bears' top-five swimmers in the 200 free (3rd), 500 free (4th), 1000 free (3rd) and 1650 free (3rd).

Background: Wright is a middle-distance freestyle swimmer from Round Rock, Texas and raced for Texas Gold Swimming ... In the deep talent pool of Texas, the Stony Point senior was ranked the 58th-best recruit in the state of Texas this year. In 2011, Wright logged life-time bests in the 200, 500, and 1650 freestyle at the 2011 Speedo Sectionals in College Station, Texas.
