Biography

At Missouri State: Capone will be a critical piece of the Bears' lineup as the only returning starter from last season's backline. 2009: Capone transitioned very well to collegiate soccer starting all 19 matches on defense for the Bears. The first-year letterwinner was named to the MVC All-Freshmen team for his outstanding play. He registered his only point of the season with an assist on Nick Dryden's game-winning goal at Bradley (10/10). Background: Capone was a two-year starter at Shattuck-St. Mary's Prep School in Faribault, Minn., and was selected as a team captain his senior season. As a junior, he started on an under-18 club team that won state and regional championships while finishing as a national finalist. He also started on an under-17 club team that won their U.S. regional, the American Soccer League tournament and appeared in the semifinals of the Dallas Cup. As a freshman and sophomore he was on the Ontario Provincial team and the Canadian national team. Personal: Francesco Capone is the son of Brune and Raffaelina Capone. He was born on July 4, 1991, in Toronto. He is undecided on a major at Missouri State.
