2023 (Senior)
Started on all 15 weekends for the Bears, going 6-2 with a 4.07 ERA as an honorable mention all-conference selection...Ranked second in the MVC and 66th nationally with 96 strikeouts...Also ranked among the Valley’s top 10 pitchers in ERA (8th - 4.07), opponent average (8th - .253), strikeouts/nine innings (3rd - 10.29) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (2nd - 3.56)...Tossed a complete-game five-hitter with one run allowed against Belmont (April 21)...Threw six or more innings in seven starts, striking out five or more 12 times...Fanned a season-high 10 batters against SIUE (March 12) and retired the final 16 hitters he faced...Struck out eight at No. 10 East Carolina (March 18) and extended his retired batters streak to 18, the longest at MSU since 2019...Pitched seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts and three hits against UIC in the MVC Tournament, good enough for selection to the all-tournament team.

2022 (Junior - JCCC)
Pitched for Johnson County Community College in 2022, striking out a team-high 78 batters...Went 7-1 in 10 starts with a 3.91 ERA and .222 opponent average in 50.2 innings.

2021 (Sophomore)
Made eight starts and nine total appearances for the Bears, striking out 38 in 43 innings with a 4.19 ERA...Held opponents to a .235 average...Struck out five-plus batters in five outings...Gave up two or fewer hits in half his starts, all lasting at least four innings...Scattered two singles and struck out five in seven innings in his final start against Valparaiso (May 21)...Struck out six in seven innings at Illinois State (May 15).

2020 (Freshman)
Started four games in the weekend rotation as a true freshman, going 1-2 with a 3.48 ERA...Struck out 16 batters in 20.2 innings with a .221 opponent average...Ranked ninth in MVC in opponent average and was one of only two qualifying Valley pitchers who did not allow a double on the season...Went six innings in his debut at Central Arkansas (Feb. 15), giving up a run on two hits for the win...Pitched 4.1 scoreless frames at Rice (Feb. 29)...Struck out a season-high six hitters in 5.1 innings versus Maine (March 7).

Background
Minton turned in an impressive prep career for Collinsville (Okla.) High School, including a banner senior campaign that saw the two-way threat hit .505 with eight homers and 57 RBIs, while going  8-1 on the mound and allowing only four earned runs all season to earn Oklahoma District 5A-4 player of the year honors...Helped the Cardinals reach the state 5A semifinals...Named a finalist for the Tulsa World’s Baseball Player of the Year honor as a senior...Tabbed the No. 9 prep standout in the state of Oklahoma by Prep Baseball Report, the right-hander starred for the Cardinals’ Oklahoma 5A regional championship club as a junior, then picked up all-tournament honors at the WWBA 17U National Championship over the summer of 2018.
